GEC Now Accepting Applications for RLF Loans

Glacier Electric Cooperative, Inc. has established a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) through the USDA Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant program (REDL&G). The Northern Rockies Medical Center received the initial loan from GEC through the REDL&G program. Over the past few years GEC has been saving the NRMC re-payments on that loan in an RLF for re-lending. We know have enough funds in our RLF to being the process of considering projects for the re-lending of these funds.

Through the RLF, GEC will be able to help provide additional funding to viable projects that improve the quality of life and contribute to long-term improvement of the local rural economy.  The GEC RLF will consider loan applications from both non-profit and for-profit projects. The RLF will provide development capital, at below-market-rates, to qualified projects with the ability to repay debt.

Glacier Electric is now accepting applicants for RLF loans. To be considered for an RLF loan, applicants must first complete the pre-application, followed by the full-application, and payment of $100 application fee. For more information on the RLF program please contact Virginia Harman at 873-5566.
