Years of Service and Retirement
GENERAL PURPOSE
In support of our cooperative employee’s, Glacier Electric Cooperative has established a recognition program for years of service and employee retirement.
Years of Service
The cooperative will recognize employees years of service in 5 year increments (5 years, 10 years, 15 years,…..)
For years of service recognition the cooperative will contribute $10 per year of service as a gift to the employee (5 years = $50, 10 years = $100……)
For an employee with 30 years of service the cooperative will purchase a commemorative cooperative watch, plus $100 gift.
Employee Retirement
Employee retirement recognition will be given for employees working for the cooperative for 20 years or more.
In honor of the retiree, the cooperative will sponsor a lunch and community social.
For retirement recognition the cooperative will contribute $10 per year of service as a gift to the employee.
RESPONSIBILITY
The General Manager will be responsible for the administration of this policy.
