Energy Efficiency Rebates
Glacier Electric offers a wide variety of residential energy efficiency rebates. All of our energy efficiency rebates are based on Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) energy efficiency programs. Glacier Electric follows BPA's guidelines and requirements for all of our rebate programs. In order to receive a rebate you must complete the application and submit all required documentation and GEC verification listed on the application. Return your rebate application to Glacier Electric for processing. A list of our residential energy efficiency rebates is below. EnergyStar Appliances
Glacier Electric offers rebates on EnergyStar qualified washing machines, refrigerators, and freezers. If you purchase your appliance from Billman's Inc. in Cut Bank the rebate will automatically be paid at the time of purchase (as a discount on your purchase). If you purchase an appliance from any other location, simply complete the application and turn it in along with your receipt showing the maker and model of the appliance so that we can verify EnergyStar qualification. EnergyStar Lighting
Glacier Electric offers rebates on EnergyStar qualified lighting fixtures such as fans, wall sconces, and overhead lighting. If you purchase an EnergyStar light fixture simply complete the application and turn it in along with your receipt showing that the fixture is EnergyStar (bring in box or packaging if receipt does not indicate that it is EnergyStar) to your local GEC office. Electric Water Heaters
Glacier Electric offers rebates on highly energy efficient electric water heaters. Please carefully read the application for specific details on qualifying water heaters. The rebates vary based on tank size, energy factor, and tank warranty. All applications must include a receipt that shows the maker and model number so that energy factor can be verified. Turn in your completed application and receipt to your local Glacier Electric office.Download electric water heater application.
Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling
Glacier Electric offers rebates on refrigerator and freezer recycling. If you have an old refrigerator or freezer (IN WORKING CONDITION) that you are replacing with a newer EnergyStar appliance Glacier Electric will offer a rebate to encourage you to recycle the old appliance rather continuing to use it. Recycling must be done by a certified center. See application for details. If you purchase a new fridge at Billman's Inc. they will automatically recycle your old fridge or freezer and apply the GEC rebate to your purchase. Download refrigerator/freezer application.
Energy Star Manufactured Home
If you are planning to purchase a new manufactured home, consider a highly efficient EnergyStar qualified one. Glacier Electric will provide a $1,450 rebate for EnergyStar manufactured homes in our service territory. Review the application and call if you have any questions. Prime Window Replacement
For electrically heated homes only, Glacier Electric provides rebates to change out your old inefficient windows for new prime efficiency windows.
